Slow Cooked Italian Sausage Pasta Sauce with Spaghetti

The sausage, tomato and herbs simmer all day long resulting in a true authentic flavored sauce.

6 Italian sausage links, cut into 1- inch pieces
1 cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 ounce) crushed tomatoes, undrained
1 can (15 ounce) tomato sauce
1 can (12 ounce) tomato paste
3 Tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package (24 ounce) uncooked spaghetti


Combine all ingredients, except spaghetti, in 3 to 4 quart slow cooker; mix well. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours.

About 30 minutes before serving, cook spaghetti in a separate pot according to package directions. Drain.

Spoon sauce over spaghetti.
